Here’s how to use fabric softener:

1. Add fabric softener to your washing machine before adding clothes, detergent or bleach.

2. Make sure the water temperature is correct for the type of fabric softener you are using (check the label).

3. Make sure there is enough room in your washing machine for all your clothes and accessories – fabric softeners can be bulky!

4. Be sure to follow the instructions on the package for how long to let the product sit in the washing machine after adding it, and how many rinses are needed before drying or ironing/pressing synthetic fabrics (such as polyester).

Fabric softener coats your clothes with a thin film that prevents them from getting damaged in the wash. This film also helps reduce static cling, which is great if your kids tend to have sticky hair or if your school uniforms tend to clump when not dry cleaned regularly.

It’s a great way to give your clothes a fresh smell and a soft feel. It can also prevent your clothes from fading in the wash.
